Historic Preservation

Western Catskills Community Revitalization Council, Inc. seeks to assist municipalities, historical societies and other organizations to preserve, conserve and protect buildings, objects, landscapes or other artifacts that are significant in their history.

Historic preservation can be as simple as encouraging the community to shop on Main Street, and support mom and pop stores that are located in old (historic) buildings that have been given another chance, or, it can be as complex as saving buildings or sites that have major regional significance.
